Who runs boring&rich, and how the numbers are made
boring&rich turns one simple, Buffett-style idea into a rule a computer can check every day: own good, profitable businesses with manageable debt, and only when the price is well below what they’re worth.
Who we are
boring&rich is built and run by ArrowBow Software Solutions Ltd., a software company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. Registered office: ABM Corporate Services, Ltd, 1st Floor, Columbus Centre, P.O. Box 2283, Road Town, Tortola VG1110, British Virgin Islands.
We make money from memberships ($11.99/week · $24.99/month · $199.99/year). Members get the 15 companies the rule holds, the verdict on every company, 13F fund flows and an email the day the rule trades. Everything else on the site is free.
How the numbers are made
By software, not by opinion. Every figure comes from two public sources: the financial statements companies file with the SEC (10-K and 10-Q, read from their XBRL data) and daily closing prices. Fund holdings come from the 13F filings managers file with the SEC. A watcher checks SEC EDGAR every hour.
One fixed rule values all 499 companies of the S&P 500 after every US market close, and decides what the model portfolio holds. Nobody picks a stock by hand or overrides the rule. The whole rule, every threshold and every formula is public on the methodology page, and the model portfolio’s record against the S&P 500 is public on the home page.
We also follow the 13F filings of 0 well-known investors, from Berkshire Hathaway to Pershing Square: 13F filings.
What it isn't
It isn’t investment advice. boring&rich is not a broker or an investment adviser, and it doesn’t know anything about you: the same research goes to every reader. The model portfolio is a paper portfolio. A valuation model is a rough guide, not a price target, and it can be wrong; what the model can’t see lists the blind spots we know about.
ArrowBow and the people who work on boring&rich may own shares of companies the site covers. See the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
